Hyperpigmentation

Every woman dreams about owning a beautiful and flawless skin. However, dreams don't often become realities, and not many women are blessed with a good complexion or a beautiful skin. Day to day activities like commutation using different modes of transportation, exposure to sun and UV rays, pollution caused by traffic jams etc. affect the skin and its quality. Moreover, personal habits and stressful lifestyles can also result into dull, lifeless, dry and dehydrated skin. The skin also loses much of its elasticity in such cases. It can be a sad situation for most women, but there's hope round the corner. Specialized skin procedures can help you not only to rejuvenate the skin, but also correct your skin texture and your overall skin quality.  Our clinic offers many tested, proven and reliable therapies to improve the quality of your skin.

Hyperpigmentation

Melanin is a type of skin pigment created naturally from an amino acid called "tyrosine". It is responsible for giving the skin and our hair their natural colour. It is present in the skin in varying degrees from person to person. It is triggered when the skin is exposed directly to the sun. However, other natural causes such as skin aging, hormonal changes and allergic conditions can also affect its activity.

When excessive melanin gets accumulated in a spot, or a small round area of skin, it causes what is known as "dark spots" or hyperpigmentation. It can occur anywhere in the body - On hands, face, legs, thigh areas etc. Hyperpigmentation can occurs on the face, hands or other visible parts of the body. At times it can be difficult to hide the dark spots on the body. It can create embarrassing situations for a woman when she wears a sleeveless dress, or any other such type of dress where the spots remain clearly visible to everyone and cannot be covered by clothing. The skin condition is also known as 'Chloasma', 'Freckles' and 'Melasma'.

Acne Vulgaris

Acne, also known as Acne Vulgaris is a type of skin disorder created when the oil present on the skin surface and dead skin cells clog up the skin pores. It can be a common disorder and people refer to it by many names like blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, blemishes, or zits. When the disorder is not severe, the skin reflects a few red spots or pimples, which can be easily covered by applying a foundation makeup. However, at times large number of pimples can cover the face, neck, hands, chest and other body parts. In extreme cases, solid red coloured painful lumps can also form on the screen.

Medically acne can be categorized into different types depending upon the manner in which the disorder has occurred in the individual:

  • Seborrhea (scaly red skin)
  • Comedones (blackheads and whiteheads)
  • Papules (pinheads)
  • Pustules (pimples)
  • Nodules (large papules)

Acne condition occurs most commonly when the skin has the densest population of sebaceous follicles. Many acme conditions can be inflammatory. Lesions can be caused by changes in the pilosebaceous units, in skin structures having a hair follicle and sebaceous gland, and changes which require androgen stimulation.

Rosacea

It is a condition in which the skin becomes pinkish or reddish in colour and blood vessels start appearing on the face. It can also cause small sized red coloured bumps on the skin filled with pus. The symptoms may last for months at a time and later start decreasing. They can occur again after some time. The disorder can happen to anyone after the age of 30, but it generally affects fair skinned middle aged women more. The disorder can be easily identified by the redness appearing on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead.  Rosacea may also result into the burning and soreness of eyes. People affected by Rosacea may feel uncomfortable and less confident at work or while attending social functions.
